I am sure it is true of any industry, but the Federal Contracting Industry sure seems small. That's a good thing for those of us who understand it and provide services with customer satisfaction in mind. Every project has an exit interview, (customer satisfaction survey), that you fill out and your contact at the Federal Contracting service must fill out. It is an honest evaluation of your performance on the specific project. Did you meet all the goals that were required in the RFP? Make a wrong decision and not meet the goals and it will hurt you across the industry. The same requirements apply to the people within the industry. As long as you have a good reputation you can move from company to company without harm. Everyone knows who cannot be trusted. You cannot survive without trust. You must have a valuable product or service that can be trusted to survive. Creating and maintaining your personal and company standards of excellence will allow you to prosper.
